In Memory of Sue Knowles

As I am sure some of you are aware, Sue Knowles who taught Biology at our school sadly died after a long illness.  She was a lovely lady and a committed teacher and was married to Keith Knowles who was Head of Science at AGSB.  Sue and Keith’s children David (an old boy) and Sarah Knowles are running the London Marathon in 2017 and are choosing to support the Proton Beam Centre building project at The Christie as this treatment can be used to treat brain tumours which is the type of cancer that Sue was suffering from.

They need to raise £4,000 and I hoped that some of the Old Boys might want to show their support for the Knowles family by sponsoring them.  I know that some might feel they want to contact the family, however may I ask that they are left to come to terms with their loss….messages can be left on the Virgin giving page in order that you can show your support and best wishes.

You can search on the Virgin Money Giving page by putting in David Knowles name or by using the following link:

David and Sarah Run London 2017

I really would appreciate your support as I feel that it would be a fitting tribute to Sue.

Regards Karen
