Annual Reunion DinneR

FrIday 18th March, 2011 AT RINGWAY GOLF CLUB

The event attracted a good crowd with 114 people attending, thanks to a big contingent from the class of '67, and support from the School by way of teachers and prefects.
Association President, Peter Morton, began proceedings with the traditional moment's silence as a mark of respect for those Old Boys and School staff who had died since the last Dinner.
The diners then enjoyed an excellent meal; cream of tomato soup, roast beef, apple pie and cheese & biscuits. During the meal the prefects did an excellent job of selling raffle tickets raising a record £705.

Notes from the AGM;

Centenary Year 2012; many activities are being proposed.
- A competition has been held to create a new centenary logo and a winner has been chosen from among the 38 entries.

The Centenary Clock
Boys at School constructed the timepiece from scratch - even down to cutting the individual cogs and gears. They also crafted a handsome cabinet out of American oak and glass after being taught the traditional skills. The students gave up their breaks and weekends to construct the pendulum clock - modelled on an 18th Century French Skeleton design.

Dates for the diary

4th February 2012 - PFA centenary ball to be held at the Cinnamon Club, open to all Association members and their partners.
30th April 2012 - Bridgewater Hall celebratory concert, again, open to all Association members and their partners.
